Rob Moore Works Hard to Improve the DCGA Appeals Process

This Thursday, Rob Moore took a break from the campaign trail to visit the DCGA Finance Committee to present a proposal to improve the fairness and transparency of the DCGA appeals process. The new process, which has been developed in the rules committee and authored by Moore, will allow chances for organizations and a new appeals board to have across-the-table negotiations on the finance appeals process.

Rob also made a visit to the Campus Affairs Council, the campus governance committee he would chair when elected president. There he was able to offer critical insights on discussions on parking that developed in the Class of 2012 class council. He was also able to see a resolution that would urge for more protection for the identity of victims of sexual assault. Moore believes this resolution is addressing a vital need for victims of sexual assault: the decision of whether to be public about their experiences or not.

This resolution was also addressed in the DCGA Executive Committee, the other committee the DCGA President chairs. As the only Presidential or Vice Presidential candidate with Executive Committee experience, Moore brings some important perspective to the Executive Committee.
